Anjali, a student leader from Delhi University, stated that they had gathered in solidarity with the people of Ladakh and their ongoing struggle — particularly their demand for Sixth Schedule status and protection of their land, water, and forest rights.
Speaking to the media, Anjali said, "The arrest of Wangchuk under the NSA is the result of a conspiracy. This government has a history of suppressing dissent. People are arbitrarily labeled as agents of Pakistan or China to silence their voices."
Protesters demanded Wangchuk’s immediate release and called for the government to address the legitimate concerns of the Ladakhi people, rather than attempting to suppress their voices through legal intimidation.
