Imphal, October 3, 2025: In a joint operation, the Assam Rifles, along with Imphal West Police Commandos, apprehended an active cadre of the Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group) [KCP (PWG)] from Uripok Chingangbam, in Imphal West, Manipur.
The operation was conducted on 3rd October 2025, based on specific intelligence inputs. During the apprehension, one mobile phone was recovered from the individual, which is now being examined as part of the investigation.
The apprehended cadre was subsequently handed over to Lamphel Police Station for further legal action.
This operation is seen as a significant step towards curbing insurgent activities in the region. Security forces have reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Manipur through continued coordinated efforts.
